6 prohibited things while performing Hajj:

  1. Shaving the hair of the head: It is prohibited to shave your head or any hair on the body. In addition, you cannot trim or cut any nails.
  2. Using perfume after entering Ihram: You cannot spray perfume on your or any one’s clothes. You also cannot use it while washing.
  3. Sexual intercourse: As Allah says whoever intends to perform Hajj, they should not have sexual intercourse, nor commit any sin, and nor dispute unjustly at the time of Hajj.
  4. For men: A prohibition to wear shirts, trousers, turbans and leather slippers: As the Prophet was asked about what Muhrim should wear. He answered he should not wear shirts, trousers, turbans and leather slippers or hooded robe while performing Hajj.
  5. Touching one’s wife with desire: It is not permissible to touch anyone or his wife with desire.
  6. For women: Covers the face and leaves the eyes uncovered: It is essential to a veil that covers the face and leaves the eyes uncovered. The same prohibition applies to the Burqa when a woman enters ihram, she should not wear a Burqa or Niqab.
